About Scottish Ju-Jitsu Society

Ju-Jitsu, Japanese for 'compliant techniques', momentarily yields to an attacker's force, redirects it, and returns with a counter attack.

The Scottish Ju-Jitsu Society offers you the opportunity of high quality training in the martial art of ju-jitsu.

Learn restraint techniques. Learn to punch, kick and throw. Learn to grapple and remain effective on the ground..

Training is undertaken in a disciplined and controlled environment.

As ju-jitsu uses skill rather than strength and brute force, this martial art is open and accessible to all.

The SJJS has a long history with Shogun Ju-Jitsu International who provide us external verification of Dan grades and the opportunity to train with like minded individuals from all over the world.
